| | | | | | | | Extra info | Prilepska Pivarnica was founded in 1924. That period is characterized by manual production, which grows year by year and at the beginning of the Second World War it reaches 8,000 hectoliters of beer per year.
The very beginning of the Second World War deepens the financial difficulties in which the brewery falls and it stops working.
The reactivation of the plants takes place in 1952 for the following year, 1953, to install a steam boiler for boiling the beer. With that technology and 40 employees in the brewery, in 1966 production jumped to 42,000 hectoliters of beer a year. In that period, the largest production was of black and light beer, "Krali Marko", which was fermented in wooden barrels and packaged in glass bottles.
A larger investment in the brewery was undertaken in 1972 when production also increased to 86,000 hectoliters of beer.
With the assumption of leadership by young highly educated personnel, the rapid growth of "Prilepska Pivarnica" began in 1975 and in the next 3 years, production jumped to 250,000 hectoliters of beer per year.
In 1980, "Prilepska Pivarnica" received a license for the production of the world brands Pepsi and Mirinda, and in 1991 it also received recognition for the largest sale of Pepsi, in absolute volume, in the region of the former Yugoslavia and in Albania.
In 2000, he launched the beer "Zlaten Dab", which is characterized by a high and excellent taste.
It expanded its range in 2002 by obtaining a license for the production of Prigat fruit juices - nectars.
May 2013 - a new investment of 7.5 million euros was realized in the form of a completely new line for pouring glass bottles of all products - both beer and juices in "Prilepska Pivarnica".
Today "Prilepska Pivarnica" is privately owned. Investments in high technology have made it one of the most modern breweries in the Balkans. The annual capacity of the brewery is 582,000 hectoliters of beer per year. Besides, it still fills the licensed drinks Pepsi, Mirinda, 7UP. |
